Rognedinsky District (Russian: Рогне́динский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,060 square kilometers (410 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Rognedino.[1] Population: 7,284 (2010 Census);[5] 8,952 (2002 Census);[8] 11,014 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Rognedino accounts for 43.4% of the district's total population.[5]
