Sami Gayle (born January 22, 1996) is an American actress. She is co-starring in the CBS series Blue Bloods as Nicole "Nicky" Reagan-Boyle.
Early life
Gayle is from Weston, Florida.[1][2] Her mother previously owned her own business and now works as her manager. Her father is an attorney.[3]
Career
Gayle began her acting career as Baby June in the off-Broadway production of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone. Gayle reprised her role when the production transferred to Broadway a few months later.[4] Gayle later co-starred in the off-Broadway plays Oohrah! at the Atlantic Theatre Company[5] and MCC Theatre's Family Week under the direction of Academy-Award winner Jonathan Demme.[6] Gayle was featured in the 2007 Broadway production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.[4]
In addition to her role on Blue Bloods, Gayle guest starred on USA's Royal Pains and had a recurring role on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns.[citation needed]
Gayle co-starred in Detachment alongside Academy Award winner Adrien Brody. The film was directed by Tony Kaye and was released in 2012. Gayle also appeared in Stolen, as Nicolas Cage's character's daughter, and The Congress, opposite Robin Wright and Paul Giamatti. The former was released on September 14, 2012, and the latter in 2013. Gayle co-starred in the 2014 film adaptation of Vampire Academy, as Mia Rinaldi.[7]
Personal life

Gayle was nationally ranked in Public Forum Debate and has received two bids to compete at the Tournament of Champions, putting her among the top debaters nationwide.[citation needed]
When she was 11, Gayle turned down a role for a Broadway musical to attend her brother's Bar Mitzvah.[1]
