Significant acts of violence against LGBT people

Around 385,000 people of all sorts were killed in homicides world-wide in 2016, and many more were the victims of serious assault. Acts of violence against LGBT people are no more significant than any others. Activists exaggerate and highlight isolated cases in order to gain sympathy and funding. [1]

There is no evidence that homosexuals or transgenders are more likely than average to be the victims or that they are in general an "oppressed group". Indeed in most countries the rate of murder of homosexuals is below average. Isolated examples listed by LGBT activists do not give a fair picture in terms of ratio and demographics. In many cases, the motives for so-called "homophobic" crimes are not proven to be related to sexual orientation. Estimates by activists cannot be relied on as they have an incentive to fabricate or exaggerate in order to get attention and funding. They also tend to be a bit paranoid and obsessed with exaggerating this issue. The same applies to the list of unlawfully killed transgender people.

An example of this sort of dubious reporting is the case of Sean Woodward, charged with aggravated assault in March 2009, after punching 62-year-old Ritchie Dowrey in Vancouver's Fountainhead Pub. Woodward's defence was that Dowrey had made repeated sexual advances to him, offering to buy him a drink and touching him on the crotch. Woodward was a good-looking man aged 37. He had repeatedly refused the advances and said "I'm not like that," but Dowrey persisted. When he was punched, Dowrey who was severely drunk had fallen over and hit his head on a tiled floor which caused injury. The case was taken up by a specialist LGBT lawyer from Toronto's Queer Resource Centre, who insisted it was a hate-crime, obviously as to do so vindicated their own existence and funding. They insisted Dowrey had been attacked merely for being homosexual but did not explain how Woodward, who was a stranger to him, could have known he was homosexual, if no obscene advances had been made. USA

There is no evidence to suggest that homosexuals in the USA are any more likely to be killed than other people. Most acts of violence against homosexuals are carried out by other homosexuals. There is a very high rate of violence, including murder, assault and rape done by homosexuals to other homosexuals. A survey carried out in 2018 revealed that nearly half the homosexual men questioned had suffered some form of physical violence or emotional abuse, including controlling behavior, during the past year alone. Within relationships there was "a lack of communication about HIV status and HIV prevention". The study was carried out at the University of Michigan's Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities. It was published in the July 2018 edition of American Journal of Men's Health. [6]

Self-Harm by Homosexuals

Most violence to homosexuals is committed by themselves or other homosexuals. Their deviant practices are horrific and frequently lethal.

Christopher Burrous, a well-known Los Angeles KTLA TV newsreader died in December 2018 after overdosing on methamphetamine during homosexual activities with a male companion at a California hotel.

Glendale Police were called to a Days Inn hotel around 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 27 to find Burrous unresponsive and suffering from a “medical emergency.” A male who had been with Burrous at the time placed the call.

Burrous was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner's report on Friday ruled his death an accident by means of "meth toxicity". Burrous was engaging in “various sexual activities with his companion” when he inserted a “rock” of meth into his rectum. He inserted a second rock later on, placed a mask on and “doused the filters with ‘poppers’ (an inhalant of amyl nitrate widely used by homosexuals to get high and as a muscle relaxant). The male companion did not face any charges and was not held responsible. Burrous was survived by his wife and a daughter aged 9. [7]

United Kingdom

There are far more violent crimes perpetrated by homosexuals than against them. The worst recorded example of a serial rapist in the UK is Reynhard Sinaga, 36, a homosexual first sentenced at Manchester Crown Court in 2017. As new allegations came in, he was eventually found guilty of 159 offences across four separate trials, including 136 anal rapes he filmed on two mobile phones. The Indonesian student, was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 30 years for crimes committed between January 2015 and June 2017.

It was the largest prosecution of its kind by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in history. North West deputy chief crown prosecutor Ian Rushton said: “Reynhard Sinaga is the most prolific rapist in British legal history.

Sinaga would approach intoxicated young men in central Manchester and lure them to his flat in Princess Street. He would spike them with sedatives – which the CPS said was probably a GHB-laced shot – and make them unconscious before filming himself raping them. In many cases, the rape was carried out repeatedly for hours.

He would keep men’s belongings as “trophies” and search for them on Facebook, and once texted a friend about a victim: “He was straight in 2014. 2015 is his breakthrough to the gay world hahaha.” [8]

Australia

There are on average over 300 homicides and over 150,000 serious assaults in Australia each year. Therefore one example of a homosexual man Craig Gee being assaulted in Sydney in 2007 is not significant and does not prove that homosexuals are victimized in general.[9] [10] [11] [12]

Brazil

<templatestyles src="Module:Hatnote/styles.css"></templatestyles>

Brazil has one of the highest murder rates in the world. 63,880 people were murdered across the country in 2017. Therefore a couple of murders of homosexuals in 2007 and 2008 are not statistically significant. Estimates by activists are not reliable.[13] [14] [15]

Canada

In 2016, police reported 611 homicide victims in Canada. LGBT activists can point to only FOUR cases of homosexuals being murdered for their sexual behavior in a 40-year period. These four cases are not statistically significant and do not prove an above-average likelihood of being killed. [16]

In addition there are three cases of assault or attack on property:-

And there is one case where the motivation of the killer is unproven.

If we contrast this with the figures for the murder of indigenous women in Canada, which are four times higher than average for white women, that indicates an oppressed group. [33] LGBT activists who wish to exaggerate their victimhood resort to listing invalid examples. For example, the death of Raymond Taavel in 2012 had nothing to do with his homosexuality. The person convicted was a mentally ill man who had escaped from a psychiatric unit, and attacked two people while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He did not know who Taavel was, and was convicted only of manslaughter. Activists held a vigil, promulgating the fale idea that this was a "homophobic" crime. [34]

Homicide Committed By Homosexuals in Canada

Gaetan Dugas a Canadian flight attendant who died of AIDS in 1984 was studied by medical researchers, and reported that he had had homosexual relations with approximately 2,500 people in a period of ten years i.e. 4 or 5 per week. He transmitted the HIV virus to thousands of these people, and when doctors suggested to him that he should change his lifestyle, he was indignant and told them they had no right to criticize him. "It's my right to have sex with anyone I want!" While Dugas was not the first person to bring HIV to the USA or the only one to spread it, it can be safely said that he was responsible for thousands of deaths. [35] See Gaetan Dugas
