Silicon Valley University (SVU) is a private, non-profit, higher educational institution located in San Jose, California, US. The university has been accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) at the Master's Degree level since 2003,[2] and the newer Doctor of Computer Engineering (DCE) program has also been accredited by ACICS since 2010.[3]

Silicon Valley University used to be located at 2160 Lundy Avenue, San Jose CA 95131. In 2014, SVU bought a new building and moved to the new address at 2010 Fortune Drive, San Jose CA 95131.

In 2015, it was reported that the Silicon Valley University was under scrutiny by the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency. In this context, numerous Eastern Asian students enrolled in this university had been deported at the US immigration check on their arrival due to their answers to US Customs agents that they came to US for work, not for study.[4] These international students were asked to choose between a ban from entering the US for five years or the withdrawal of their application to SVU.[5] The university has denied claims of being "blacklisted" by rumors.[6]
