Soligalichsky District (Russian: Солига́личский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,070 square kilometers (1,190 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Soligalich.[1] Population: 10,265 (2010 Census);[4] 12,304 (2002 Census);[7] 14,798 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Soligalich accounts for 62.7% of the district's total population.[4]
