South Plantation High School, also known locally as simply "South" (to avoid confusion with Plantation High), is a four-year, public high school located in Plantation, a large suburb of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the United States.
SPHS is part of the Broward County Public Schools District, which is the sixth largest district in the nation with over 258,000 students enrolled as of the 2007/08 school year. The school was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 1982 and 1983.[1] South Plantation has an FCAT school grade of "A" for the 2010-2011 academic year.[2]

As of 2011, the total student enrollment was 2878. The ethnic makeup of the school was 50% White, 40% Black, 3% Asian or Pacific Islander, 3% Multiracial, and 3% Native American or Native Alaskan.[3]

- Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) - Students who are interested in business marketing, management, and entrepreneurship participate in many activities, including the Fashion Show, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Adopt-an-Angel Toy Drive, MDA, SHAPE, Hurricane Relief projects, and competitions.
- Drama/Thespians- The drama program has recently put on productions of Big the Musical, Grimm's Fairytales, Shrek the Musical, Oedipus Rex,and The Addams Family.
- ER Ambassadors - Students travel to elementary schools to teach environmental activities. They help with recruiting new students to the high school program and earn volunteer hours by working with community organizations on weekend events.
