Stephen Dwayne Newman (born October 15, 1964) is an American politician of the Republican Party. In 1996, he was elected to the Senate of Virginia. He currently[update] represents the 23rd district, which consists of the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford, Bedford County, and Botetourt and Craig and Campbell counties.[1]
