Susannah Mary Streeter (born 8 May 1973) is a BBC television business news presenter.

Early life

She was born in Chippenham in Wiltshire, on the same day as Marcus Brigstocke.[1]

She studied at Aston University, where she graduated in 1995 with a BSc in French, Government, Economics, Society. At Aston she wrote for the student newspaper called The Birmingham Sun.[2]

As part of her Aston course she worked at Radio France Internationale and the Normandy newspaper Ouest-France.

Broadcasting career

Radio

Susannah joined GWR FM as a news reporter for the group’s Wiltshire station in 1995, having previously undertaken work experience or freelance work for Radio West Midlands, Capital FM, GWR Bristol and Radio France Internationale in Paris.[3]

Television

In television she has worked for ITV News and 5 News.

From 1997-98 she worked at Channel One West. From 1998-2002 she was a presenter of Meridian Tonight.

BBC

She joined the BBC in January 2003, working at BBC Three on The 7 O'Clock News and 60 Seconds.[4]

She became a BBC business news presenter in 2005, and has produced reports for BBC News Channel, BBC Breakfast, Working Lunch and BBC World News.[5]

Personal life

She is fluent in the French language.
