Sustainability Management School (SUMAS) is a business school focused totally on sustainability and a responsible management education (UN Sustainable Development Knowledge Program, Voluntary Initiative).[2]

SUMAS is based in the headquarters of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Gland, a small town by Lac Leman, one of the largest inland lakes in Europe, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. It is half way between Geneva and Lausanne.

Academic programs

Sustainability Management School offers:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Sustainability Management

The aim of the three-year BBA program is to offer a theoretical and practical degree that addresses challenges in sustainability facing leaderships in today’s global environments.[3]

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Sustainability Management

Designed for all professionals in corporations, nonprofits and governmental agencies demanding sustainability knowledge and practice. The aim of the full-time (one year) or part-time (two years) Master of Business Administration in Sustainability Management is to offer a predominantly professionally oriented education that addresses sustainability challenges facing leaders in today’s complex work patterns.   • Online MBA in Sustainability Management

Online MBA course is delivered through the SUMAS's virtual learning environment, where student can access to teaching material and communicate with faculty and other students.[5]

SUMAS is also a part of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) [9] initiative and The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) [10] initiative.
