Taylor Head Beach

Taylor Head Beach is a provincial park on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is located 11 km southwest of Sheet Harbour, near Spry Bay, Nova Scotia.[1]

It has 1 km (0.62 mi) of sandy beach and 18 km (11 mi) of hiking trails. There are many scenic hiking trails varying in length. There are also many geological features and natural habitats.[1] Taylor Head Beach is one of the few places in Nova Scotia that has sand volcanoes.[2] Hunting is forbidden inside the park borders.

Note: These trails provide harsh conditions. Wear strong footwear.[1]

History

2-3 sailors drowned off the coast of Taylor Head and are buried there.[3]
