Coincidentally, both were nominated and lost to Shuler Hensley in 2002.

Jack Cassidy was consecutively nominated in 1964 and 1965, while Bruce Adler achieved the same honor in 1991 and 1992. Cassidy won in 1964, for his portrayal of Steve Kodaly, in She Loves Me.
