Professor Tuula Teeri (born 1957), Ph.D., is a Finnish molecular geneticist and the President of Aalto University.[1] She has previously been a Vice President at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. Professor Teeri started as the President of Aalto University on April 1, 2009.

She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Helsinki (1987) and was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 2004.[2]

In 2015 Tuula Teeri was charged with infringement of the rights of a workplace steward. Espoo district prosecutor says that Tuula Teeri is guilty of breaching the workers' rights, which is punishable under the Criminal Code of Finland. The Labour Court has already sentenced Aalto University to pay the unlawfully dismissed workplace steward a compensation of 100 000 euros. According to the Labour Court, the workplace steward was dismissed based on unfounded allegations.[3]
