Vesanto is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Northern Savonia region. The municipality has a population of 2,188 (31 March 2016)[2] and covers an area of 569.70 square kilometres (219.96 sq mi) of which 147.1 km2 (56.8 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 5.18 inhabitants per square kilometre (13.4/sq mi).
Neighbour municipalities are Keitele, Konnevesi, Rautalampi, Tervo, Viitasaari and Äänekoski.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
