Overview

As of April 2015 Exim Bank of China had provided a $150 million loan to extend the airports runway (to 4000m), build taxiways and a new terminal to increase the airport's capacity from 500,000 to 1 million passengers annually.[1]

The airport operates 12 hours per day and immigration and revenue services are all available during the operating hours. It offers airport facilities and services, including aircraft parking, cargo and passenger handling, refuelling, weather information, restaurants and duty-free shops. Plans are underway to bring banking facilities which are only found in town. The airport has shuttle services to and from hotels and other places in town. There is a variety of tour operators, car rentals (Avis, Europcar, Budget, Kanondo), offering from small economy to top of the range rental vehicles, as well as reliable taxis and airport shuttles at the airport.[citation needed]
