Világgazdaság (World Economy in English) is the leading[1] Hungarian business daily[2][3] newspaper published by Axel Springer AG.[4]
History and profile
Világgazdaság was founded in 1969.[5] It is headquartered in Budapest.[6]
The daily is called "the green newspaper" since it is published on green paper.[5] During the communist era in Hungary it was the first newspaper which was allowed direct access to Western news agencies.[5] Its sister publication is Heti, a weekly founded in 1979.[5]
