Vimpeli (Swedish: Vindala) is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southern Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 3,074 (31 March 2016)[2] and covers an area of 328.79 square kilometres (126.95 sq mi) of which 41.52 km2 (16.03 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 10.7 inhabitants per square kilometre (28/sq mi).

Vimpeli was crucial in the Winter War due to its ski-factory that created over half of the skis used in the war.

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
