Vygonichsky District (Russian: Вы́гоничский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,028 square kilometers (397 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Vygonichi.[1] Population: 20,105 (2010 Census);[5] 22,770 (2002 Census);[8] 23,058 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Vygonichi accounts for 24.6% of the district's total population.[5]
