The team plays its home games at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex on the FIFA-approved synthetic grass of the complex's John Scouras Field. The team's colours are black, red and white.[citation needed]

History

WSA Winnipeg was announced as a USL Premier Development League expansion franchise on December 13, 2010.[1] The team is part of the larger World Soccer Academy and is supported by Mondetta, a well-recognized brand in Canadian professional sports, as one of its primary sponsors.[citation needed]

The team played its first game on May 28, 2011, a 1–0 loss to Thunder Bay Chill,[2] but achieved their first victory the following day, 3–0 in the return game against Thunder Bay. The first goal in franchise history was scored by Kenny Sacramento.[3]
