Warisguda or Warasiguda is one of the suburbs in Hyderabad, India. It is mainly a residential area and it is very close to Osmania University campus.

The name Waris from Waris Khan (who sold this huge land to different people) who got this land as gift from Nizams of Hyderabad and GUDA for a populated place and became Warasiguda. This place comes under Chilkalguda Police Station limits.

Commercial area

Warasiguda also houses many Car and Bike Mechanic Workshops and electrical shops apart from many cyber cafes and mobile phone servicing centers. Warasiguda to Osmania University the distance is around one kilometer.

Few of old schools in this area includes Kakatiya Techno School, Jyothi Model High School, Sumitra High School, Jawahar English High School and Balaji High School. Johnson Grammar School (ICSE) netaji public high school has been one of the prominent schools of this area.

Places which are closer to Warasiguda are Osmania University which is one of the oldest modern universities in India. The famous Arts college building which is located in the campus is an architectural heritage structure designed mostly similar to College of Sultan Hassan in Cairo, Egypt built in 1363.

We have many prominent Mosques in Warisguda from which Masjid-E-Kousar and Masjid-E-Noor-E-Mohammadiya [new one]' is one among them.

We also have the famous Sri Subrahmanyaswamy Temple, Skandagiri, Secunderabad, with Lord Murugan as the presiding Deity and Hanuman Temple in Padmarao Nagar which is one kilometre away from Warsiguda.

Transport

The TSRTC buses connect Warisguda with all parts of the city. 86 Bus route which shuttles mainly between secunderabad and koti. 107J bus shuttles between Secunderabad and Dilsukhnagar.

The closest MMTS Train station is Arts College Railway Station. MMTS train services are very frequent from Arts College Railway Station, people who wants to commute to Falkunuma or Lingampally they can travel in much ease from this place. Most of the employees working in Hitech City prefer MMTS as it is low in cost and reaches destination very fast.

Colonies in and around Warsiguda

There are other colonies Indira Nagar colony, Boudha Nagar, BrahmanaBasthi, eshwarbai nagar and Mohmadguda. The SBH Lane belonging to the Sitaram colony is known for its cleanliness. Some of the good buildings in Indira Nagar Colony are Kasturi Nilayam, Bhandekar`s Residency, 'Gulshan-e-Fathima', and few apartments.

Warasiguda has many Irani Cafe and Oldest Bakery and most of the youngster to oldies enjoy having cutting tea. Famous and Old Irani Cafes are Mumtaz Hotel, Centre Point Cafe, Meena Cafe, MGM Bakery are one of the best places in Warasiguda.
