Worthington City School District

The Worthington City School District includes the city of Worthington, Village of Riverlea, and neighboring portions of the city of Columbus, Ohio. There are approximately 60,000 people residing in the area[1] with 13,755 in Worthington proper as of July, 2011.[2] Because the district is essentially built out, enrollment is increasing at a slower pace.[3]

Report card

In 2009, Worthington City School District was awarded the “Excellent with Distinction” rating by the Ohio Department of Education, the agency's highest rating.[4]

In 2010,[5] and 2011,[6] Worthington City School District was awarded an "Excellent" rating by the Ohio Department of Education, but fell short of the "Excellent with Distinction" rating.
