XSPORT (formerly Hockey TV (Ukrainian: Хокей) until 10 June 2013)[1] is a Ukrainian language sport channel, founded by Borys Kolesnikov. Kolesnikov, who also owns HC Donbass, created the channel with the intent of broadcasting hockey in Ukraine. The channel was launched on 22 January 2012, and is available to the whole country of Ukraine through cable and satellite: in Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lutsk, Lviv and Sevastopol, and other cities. First hockey match that was shown on this channel was Edmonton Oilers - Calgary Flames. To cater for demand for other sporting events on the channel other than hockey, the channel was renamed XSport.
