Yalden's rat (Desmomys yaldeni) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae, found only in Ethiopia.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
It is named in honour of Derek Yalden.[1]
