The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India was established in the capital , New Delhi as Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Afghanistan to India in 1954 and Sardar Najibullah Khan as Ambassador and Special Representative of His Majesty the King of Afghanistan Mohammed Zahir Shah.
