The work discusses how the mainstream media and liberal Democratic politicians in the USA are allegedly alienating white men, who are "being targeted, silenced, intimidated, persecuted — virtually wiped off the planet — in order to make guilty, politically correct white liberals feel better about themselves", through legislation, social attacks, and power and racial politics.

This is said to happen through "unfair and unregulated policies, politically correct attitudes, and reverse racism" that oppress the shrinking middle class "in voting, housing, guns, taxes, regulation, and jobs". The book describes ways to protest and counter such attacks, which includes resistance to the spread of "free trade" policies, which the author says mostly benefit well-connected elites. Tax cuts are currently said to favor the wealthy, but should favor the middle class instead. Resistance would require awareness, and would lead to identity politics.
