Barrie Hutchinson is a former rugby player and water polo representative from New Zealand.
At the 1950 British Empire Games he won the silver medal as part of the men's water polo team.[1]
As well as playing water polo he has been heavily involved in rugby. He played for and captained the Wellington and Auckland rugby teams, as well as playing in All Blacks trial teams. He has also been a rugby coach and is a past president of the Auckland Rugby Football Union.
He spent 6 years as an Auckland City Councillor. He currently works in real-estate.[2]
