The Principality of Asturias in northern coastal Spain is divided into 78 districts equivalent to municipalities. These districts are further divided into 857 parroquia, or parishes.
The Asturian districts with the largest number of parishes is also the oldest, Cangas del Narcea, with 54. Several districts only contain one parish, such as Pesoz.
