George Leslie "Les" Grainge (29 November 1910[1] — 29 August 1983 (aged 72)) born in Keighley, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Bradford Northern, as a Wing, i.e. number 2 or 5, he died in Keswick.
International honours
Les Grainge won a cap for England while at Bradford Northern in 1938 against France.[2]
School days
Les Grainge attended Woodhouse Grove School, in Apperley Bridge, where he was Head Prefect and Victor Ludorum twice, and Captain of Cricket, Rugby and Lacrosse.
Note
Although Les Grainge's date of birth is stated as 29 November 1910, his birth was not registered until January→March 1911 in Keighley district.[1]
