Linus Entertainment is a multi-faceted music company operating as an independent record label, distributor and music publisher, based in Burlington, Ontario Canada. The company has nearly 200 releases in its catalog.

The company was founded in 2001. President and Founder Geoff Kulawick has an impressive and extensive history of success in the Canadian music industry, previously serving as head of A&R for Virgin Records/EMI Music Canada and creative head of Warner/Chappell Music Canada.

Linus Entertainment has grown significantly over the past decade and acquiring in 2010 a controlling interest in global distributor IDLA (Independent Digital Licensing Agency) and in 2007 Canada’s oldest and largest Independent Record label, True North Records with partners Harvey Glatt and Michael Pilon. In 2010, Linus also acquired multi-award winning Children’s Group Inc, home of the worldwide bestselling children’s series, Classical Kids.

In 2013, famed 1980’s rock label Solid Gold Records was acquired. Artists on this label include Toronto, Hollywoods, Headpins, Satellites, and Chilliwack. Also in 2013 Linus re-issued classic albums from the Mushroom Records catalog by Chilliwack and Doucette.

Some of the recent best-selling artists on the roster: Gordon Lightfoot, Downchild, Elizabeth Shepherd, Sophie Milman, Gowan, The Nylons, Ashley MacIsaac, and Lunch At Allen’s. Linus Entertainment has also released albums from Peter Appleyard, Big Sugar, The Tea Party, and Alannah Myles.
