3,000 years ago, the Space Pirates Barban invaded Earth. The Starbeasts and the first Gingaman, warriors of the Ginga Forest, fought them with the mystical power called Earth and eventually were able to imprison them. Now, the ceremony to choose the 133rd incarnation of the Gingaman has begun just as the space pirates escape their imprisonment.
2	"The Starbeasts' Return" "Seijū no Sairai" (星獣の再来)	March 1, 1998
After losing his brother, Hyuuga, to the initial attack from the space pirates and unleashing his true Earth power, Ryouma is chosen to become the leader of the new Gingaman. Meanwhile, the Barban realize that though they are revived, their Demon Bast Dytanix is still yet to awaken, with Sambash elected as the one to gather the needed energy from the city. The new team take part in a ceremony but are attacked in the process by Shelinda to siphon the forest's life energies to revive Dytanix. Elder Oogy turns the hidden world of the Ginga Forest to stone to ensure that doesn't happen, leaving the team no other option but escape as he threw to them an acorn. Once in the city, the Gingaman battle Sambash's minion Kolshizer and meet their Starbeasts, defeating Kolshizer before vowing to defeat the space pirates and return all their tribe to flesh and blood once again.
3	"The Earth's Wisdom" "Daichi no Chie" (大地の知恵)	March 8, 1998
Yuuta Aoyama, a young boy that Ryouma met once before in the human world, offers the team a place to stay. They join him at his father's ranch, who agrees to let them stay as long as he is allowed to document their adventures. Gouki later quits the team, thinking his love of wildlife and shyness will be a deterrent in his battles. But in the process, the acorn the Gingamen receive from Elder Oogi grows into Moak.
4	"The Earth's Heart" "Āsu no Kokoro" (アースの心)	March 15, 1998

6	"The Starbeasts' Crisis" "Seijū no Kiki" (星獣の危機)	March 29, 1998
The five warriors go camping with Yuuta and try to consult the Starbeasts on their newly obtained Kiba Blades, but the Starbeasts do not want them to use the weapon's hidden power. Meanwhile, Sunbash uses a gluttonous monster who converts what he eats into a poison gas to turn the Earth into a toxic environment in order to revive Daitanix. Yuuta is poisoned during the fight, and soon the Gingaman fall victim to the poison as well. The Starbeasts are turned to stone after using all their energy to heal the team. Is this the end of the Gingaman?
7	"Time of Revival" "Fukkatsu no Toki" (復活の時)	April 5, 1998
With the Starbeasts dead, the Gingaman try desperately to revive them using Earth Power. Meanwhile, the Barban plan on using the corpses of the Starbeasts to make a powdered medicine, but then try to thwart the Gingaman's attempts to revive the Starbeasts. In a gamble to resurrect their comrades, Ryouma and the team suggest using the power of the Kiba Blades, despite Moak's warning that the power will possibly kill them.
8	"Love's Culinary" "Aijō no Ryōri" (愛情の料理)	April 12, 1998
A mysterious meteor crashes on Earth near Gingat and seals her power, causing the feline Starbeast to shrink and regress into a kitten. A little girl named Yuuko finds the young Gingat and the meteorite and takes them home with her while the Gingaman look for the lost Starbeast. The Barban plan on finding and using the meteorite's evil power as an energy source to start their ship, putting Yuuko in danger. Yuuko refuses to give the Starbeast back to Saya, as she is lonely without a friend to keep her company. Saya must think of a way to get Gingat back while being considerate of Yuuko's feelings.
9	"Secret Kitten" "Himitsu no Koneko" (秘密の子猫)	April 19, 1998
The Ginga Warriors struggle against a Barban monster that can amplify and manipulate sound to awaken Daitanix. Hayate's flute is destroyed when he tries to negate the monster's attack with its sound and must go on a quest to make a new one so the Gingamen can fight unhindered.
10	"The Wind's Flute" "Kaze no Fue" (風の笛)	April 26, 1998
The Ginga Warriors struggle against a Barban monster that can amplify and manipulate sound to awaken Daitanix. Hayate's flute is destroyed when he tries to negate the monster's attack with its sound and must go on a quest to make a new one so the Gingamen can fight unhindered.
11	"A Warrior's Devotion" "Senshi no Junjō" (戦士の純情)	May 3, 1998
While Yuuta's father goes on an overseas trip to see if his wife is okay after she falls ill, Gouki is selected by the team to go in his place to the Parents Day gathering at Yuuta's school as they all have chores to do at the Silver Star Riding Club. While at the school for Parents Day, Gouki develops a crush on Yuuta's math teacher. Meanwhile, Sumbash is warned by Captain Zahab that this is his last chance to prove himself, Sambash sends a Barban monster that can create earthquakes to try and wake Daitanix.
12	"Nightmare Reunited" "Akumu no Saikai" (悪夢の再会)	May 10, 1998
Sambash is nearly executed for his failures, but reveals to his crew that the second phase of his plan is coming to fruition. After calling out the Gingaman, he reveals that Hyuuga is alive and has been kept as his hostage!
13	"Beast Attack Rehearsal" "Gyakuten no Jūgekibō" (逆転の獣撃棒)	May 17, 1998
Ryouma is still recovering from the previous battle and ponders if the voice he heard was his brother. Meanwhile, Budoh is appointed the field commander of Balban and begins his campaign to find the Lights of Ginga before the Gingaman do. He thinks that the Lights hide within Earth's trees and thus his first subordinate spreads a mold to poison the trees, causing Moak to become gravely ill. Can the Gingaman stop Budoh's plan before all of Earth's trees and their mentor die?
14	"Two Sayas" "Futari no Saya" (二人のサヤ)	May 24, 1998
15	"Terrifying Hiccups" "Kyōfu no Shakkuri" (恐怖のしゃっくり)	May 31, 1998
Hikaru pretends to be sick to get out of doing chores, but this make Ryouma concerned and he tries to be his caretaker. Budoh thinks the Lights of Ginga can be found by searching artifacts in museums and antiques stores, but his subordinate makes the mistake of stealing an artifact that is actually an 3,000 year old bomb that is still active. Due to a mixup with canister of cold medicine, Hikaru is forcefully made to ingest the bomb thanks to Ryouma and must stay still or risk exploding, but ingesting it has given him hiccups!
16	"Homeland of the Heart" "Kokoro no Kokyō" (心の故郷)	June 7, 1998
A man claiming to be the father of the Silver Star Riding Club's owner has arrived and is outraged at the way the club is handled, unaware of the Ginga Warriors heroic activities nor caring for an explanation as to why the club is in such poor shape. He prevents them from leaving until they do all their chores, and if he is not satisfied, they will be fired, thrown out and be without a place to live. Budoh uses the fourth possible clue to find the Lights of Ginga's location, using his next subordinate to raise the Lights from the ground using a cursed acid rain to destroy the land.
17	"True Courage" "Hontō no Yūki" (本当の勇気)	June 14, 1998
Yuuta feels like he should do more to help the Gingaman and wants to be a warrior. Budoh uses the fifth clue to determine that the Lights of Ginga may be hiding inside of a skyscraper building. Thus he sends his next subordinate, who uses mechanical replicas of people implanted with bombs to destroy Tokyo's cityscape to bring the Lights out of hiding.
18	"The Mysterious Black Knight" "Nazo no Kuro Kishi" (謎の黒騎士)	June 28, 1998
A mysterious knight saves Ryouma from the explosive trap in the previous episode, but the Gingaman wonder if he is a friend or a foe. Budoh hunts for an unbreakable meteorite called the Oni Stone that could contain the Lights of Ginga.
19	"The Vengeful Knight" "Fukushū no Kishi" (復讐の騎士)	July 5, 1998
The Gingaman learn that BullBlack is on a quest to destroy Balban for revenge and find the Lights of Ginga to do so, willing to hurt anyone who gets in his way. Budoh sends one of his four great generals to find a sunflower that may contain the Lights of Ginga.
20	"The One-Man Battle" "Hitori no Tatakai" (ひとりの戦い)	July 12, 1998
Budoh's next general searches through the dreams of living things by putting all life into an icy cold, death-like sleep as part of the eighth clue in order to bring out the Lights of Ginga. All of the Gingaman and their allies are hit by his spell and are slowly going to sleep, with Ryouma the only one able to resist its effects due to his flame Earth Power. Can Ryouma stop this plot before all of Earth sleeps into a real death?
21	"The Tomato's Trial" "Tomato no Shiren" (トマトの試練)	July 19, 1998
The Ginga Warriors head to the beach for some rest and relaxation for Yuuta's summer vacation with Yuuta's teacher Miss Suzuko joining them. Gouki tries to strike up the courage to tell Miss Suzuko he loves her, but instead asks for a favor. Budo send his next general to search for "round red food" that could contain the Lights of Ginga, which includes tomatoes. It is revealed that Hayate dislikes tomatoes, which complicates the Gingaman's attempts to heal him after he is injured and needs nutrients from the fruit to speed up his healing.
22	"Appearance of Light" "Hikari no Shutsugen" (光の出現)	August 2, 1998
Saya and Hikaru are in the midst of a petty feud and can't get along with each other. Budoh is forced to use his final general, Dotoumusha, to search for the Lights of Ginga, knowing very well that this is his final chance. The last clue states that the Lights are hidden in a holy spring buried under Tokyo. Dotoumusha puts up a force field around Tokyo, forcing Saya and Hikaru to fight him alone inside while the others are trapped outside unable to help!
23	"End of the Contest" "Sōdatsu no Hate" (争奪の果て)	August 9, 1998
The Lights of Ginga have been freed from the holy spring they were hidden in and are soon taken by Dotoumusha. A fierce four way battle to claim the Lights ensues between the Gingaman, BullBlack, Dotoumusha and the conniving, backstabbing members of Balban. A new power is soon to be claimed and the Legend shall take an unexpected turn!
24	"Budou's Tenacity" "Budo no Shūnen" (ブドーの執念)	August 16, 1998
Budoh is imprisoned for his supposed treachery but is freed by his ninja subordinates. In order to restore his honor, Budoh goes on a rampage to draw outl the Gingaman and kill them to take the Lights of Ginga back and tries to discover who is the traitor who framed him. One of his ninjas uses a spell to make Ryouma lose his mind and attack any person near him as a means of obtaining the Lights.
25	"The Black Knight's Determination" "Kuro Kishi no Ketsui" (黒騎士の決意)	August 23, 1998
26	"Brothers of Flame" "Honō no Kyōdai" (炎の兄弟)	August 30, 1998
Now that Hyuuga has returned, the team suspects that Ryouma feels he is no longer worthy of being Ginga Red and wants to return his brother's Star Beast Sword to him. The Gingaman fight a monster that traps people inside mirrors, but Hikaru, Gouki, Saya and Hayate get trapped in mirrors and are taken to be sacrificed to revive Daitanix. The two brothers rush to save the human sacrifices and soon another hero of legend is born!
27	"The Mummy's Allure" "Miira no Yūwaku" (ミイラの誘惑)	September 6, 1998
Iliess sends a monster to drain the youth of 81 young virgins to create an elixir that would break the seal on Daitanix.The team has a misunderstanding about Hyuuga and one of the rescued victims. But it turns out the "victim" is possessed by the monster and he is planning to kill Hyuuga!
28	"Papa's Sudden Change" "Papa no Hyōhen" (パパの豹変)	September 13, 1998
An ice angel monster uses arrows to remove emotions and empathy from humans to collect 111 hearts from them to be fed to Daitanix. Haruhiko is affected and becomes cold and abusive to his son, then heads over to be sacrificed by the monster. Can Yuuta's unconditional love for his dad prevent this?
29	"Dark Merchant" "Yami no Shōnin" (闇の商人)	September 20, 1998
Frustrated with Illes failures, Captain Zahab and Battobas contact a weapons merchant to purchase something that will put an end to the nuisance of the Gingaman. Hikaru and Hyuuga are captured and Hikaru is siphoned of Earth Power by the merchant's cage to power something for his plans. When the Gingaman seemingly achieve victory, a shocking turn of events occur that could lead to their defeat!
30	"Steel Starbeasts" "Hagane no Seijū" (鋼の星獣)	September 27, 1998
Continuing from last episode, the Steel Starbeasts are recalled after they trash both Gingai-Oh and BullTaurus to be sold to Balban after a successful demonstration of their power. The Gingaman struggle to come up with a solution to stop them. Can they save the lost Starbeasts from Balban or will they be forced to destroy them?
31	"Cursed Stone" "Noroi no Ishi" (呪いの石)	October 4, 1998
Yuuta idolizes Hayate's calm nature and reliability and starts imitating him, as he wants to be a warrior. A fortune telling Hindu-themed monster is stealing the palms of 333 people and turning them into stone with a curse to revive Daitanix. With Yuuta and Hayate tricked into giving their palms, they have one hour to stop Balban's scheme or they will slowly turn into stone and die!
32	"The Mobile Horse of Friendship" "Yūjō no Kidō Uma" (友情の機動馬)	October 11, 1998
Ryouma meets a motorcycle shop mechanic named Ichirou and his sister Yuriko and befriends them, only for Merudameruda, the sister of Medoumedou, to kidnap Yuriko as part of a plan to gather human fear from 22 people to revive Daitanix.
33	"Yearning for Saya" "Akogare no Saya" (憧れのサヤ)	October 18, 1998
Illies sends her younger brother to gather the sorrow of humans using his Masks of Sorrow. The male Ginga Warriors are all hit by the monsters spell, leaving Saya to go on a quest to find a magic fruit that will temporarily restore them to normal long enough to defeat the monster. A coolness obsessed child named Kyouhei, who has a crush on her, accompanies her on the quest.
34	"Invulnerable Iliess" "Fujimi no Iriesu" (不死身のイリエス)	October 25, 1998
Iliess is given her final chance to revive Daitanix or face her doom. She plans to accomplish this by summoning many lizards, using them to drain the blood of several humans on Earth. She even manages to revive several of her destroyed Majin. After gathering enough blood, she transforms into a more powerful form. Can the Gingaman stop her before it's too late? The outcome seems to not matter to Zahab as the captain has a "backup plan". Meanwhile, Daitanix begins to rot.
35	"Gouki's Choice" "Gōki no Sentaku" (ゴウキの選択)	November 1, 1998
Gouki is still trying to muster up the courage to confess his feelings to Miss Suzuko out and ask her out for a date. However, another man has feelings for her as well and they begin competing for her affection. Meanwhile, the use of Iliess's soul gem has caused Daitanix to start awakening! The Battobas Majin Corps goes forth to gather glass to make a pump to jumpstart Daitanix's heart. While the Gingaman try to fight their schemes, Gouki now must make a difficult choice, save the girl..or save the world?
36	"Invincible Haruhiko" "Muteki no Haruhiko" (無敵の晴彦)	November 8, 1998
Due to an accident during a roof repair of the house, both Haruhiko and Hayate are glued together by their hands. The Battobas Majin Corps attempt to set fire to the city to make steam to heat an ore, transforming it into a heart remedy for Daitanix. Can Haruhiko handle the hardships of being stuck to a Ginga Warrior or will he and Hayate get barbecued?
37	"Bucrates's Ambition" "Bukuratesu no Yabō" (ブクラテスの野望)	November 15, 1998
With GoTaurus still too weak to fight, Hyuuga stays in the mountains with him to help him recover. Barban plans on ripping out the heart of GoTaurus to transplant it into Daitanix. Meanwhile Bucrates, who was left for dead, reemerges to plan his revenge against Captain Zahab. He kidnaps Hyuuga and blackmails him to cooperate with the captured GoTaurus to be his enforcer.
38	"Hyuuga's Determination" "Hyūga no Ketsudan" (ヒュウガの決断)	November 22, 1998
Bucrates begins his plans with Hyuuga to destroy Barban by making him sacrifice his Earth Power for good, which leaves the Black Knight no choice but to fight the Gingaman to protect GoTaurus after they try to stop him. The Battobas Majin Corps attempt to kidnap children to do slave labor to clear out a blockage inside Daitanix.
39	"The Heart's Massage" "Kokoro no Massāji" (心のマッサージ)	November 29, 1998
Infuriated at Hyuuga's decision to abandon his Earth Power, Saya begins pushing herself too hard and sprains her ankle. The Battobas Majin Corps converts their Barba Extract into bullets to enlarge humans so they can massage Daitanix's heart and break the seal. This plan backfires as it makes the Gingaman fat instead of grow and accidentally turns Saya into a giant!
