Mwamba Rugby Football Club, also known as Mwamba RFC(KULABU), is a Kenyan rugby union club based in Nairobi. The club was founded in 1977 with the aim of promoting rugby among indigenous Kenyans when the game was still dominated by the whites in Kenya. The club played at the Nairobi Railway Club next to Uhuru Park since its formation. It plays in the Kenya Cup, the top-level rugby competition in Kenya.[1]

History

Mwamba Rugby Football Club was founded in 1977, aiming to promote rugby among indigenous Kenyans, in a sport that was dominated by white settlers and expatriates. The club was set up in the centre of Nairobi, so that it was easily accessible to all Kenyans who wished to play the game. The club choose to wear black jerseys, black shorts and black socks as their kit.
