"Ready for Your Love" is a song by Chapter 8 from their self-titled album and the group's first hit on the R&B chart in the United States.[1] The single, written by bassist David Washington, is mainly remembered for prefiguring the solo career of Anita Baker in a duet with band mate Gerald Lyles, backed by Michael Powell on guitar and Courtten Hale on sax.[2][3][4]
