Simone Johanna de Gale (born 25 August 1982 in London) is a British architect, artist and inventor. Simone de Gale is the founder and creative director of Simone de Gale Architects.[1]

Biography

A recipient of the Stephen Lawrence Bursary Award in 2008, Simone was one of the first London based beneficiaries to start their own architectural practice.[2] Simone de Gale is most known for participating in the conception of the Hammersmith Flyunder Feasibility project for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with CH2M Hill Halcrow.[3][4][5] Simone de Gale is the inventor of a materials processing technique which increases the energy absorption capability of a material when subjected to blast. The patent pending technology has been developed with the support of the UK Ministry of Defence.[6][7] Simone currently lives in London.[8]

Simone trained at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, the University of Westminster and University of East London. She worked with the Westfield Group[citation needed] and RMJM[citation needed] before setting up Simone de Gale Architects in 2009.
