Portugal's Rui Machado took the singles title in 2009
The Status Athens Open is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is currently part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour. It is held annually in Athens, Greece, and has been since 2008.
