The Summer Sixteen Tour[1] is an upcoming co-headlining concert tour by Canadian recording artist and rapper Drake supporting his fourth studio album Views (2016), and American hip hop recording artist Future, supporting his fourth studio album Evol (2016) as well as their mixtape What a Time to Be Alive (2015). The tour is set to begin in Austin, Texas, at the Frank Erwin Center on July 20, 2016, and is planned to conclude in Newark, New Jersey, at the Prudential Center on October 15, 2016.[2] No European dates have been announced.

Background and development

On April 25, 2016, Drake posted on Twitter that he was going to be embarking on the Summer Sixteen tour in the summer with Future.[3] At the same day several dates were added on Drake's official website.[4]

Since then, more dates have been added making the total amount of shows 40. On May 20th Drake added 15 more shows to the tour including cities in Auburn Hills, Edmonton, San Jose, Inglewood, Denver, Des Moines, Montreal, Brooklyn, & Newark.
