Tamil Desiyak Katchi(TDK),(Tamil: தமிழ் தேசியக் கட்சி) is a political party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The party's vote base is mainly concentrated in the Kongu region of Tamil Nadu. It is registered with the Election Commission of India, but still unrecognized.
Origins and platform
It was launched in 1995 at Sankagiri by the Kongu Vellala Goundergal Peravai, a Gounder caste organisation.Although the party was launched by a Gounder Organisation, it repositioned itself as the representative of all people in the entire state.The party also claims that it was formed for the welfare and development of the Kongu region.
