Time is the Key is an album by Pierre Moerlen's Gong, issued in 1979.[2]

The album features a progressive rock sound[1] and has little to do with the psychedelic space rock of Daevid Allen's Gong, even though the bands share a common history.

Style

Allmusic describes the album's sound as progressive rock, stating that there is minimal jazz influences, compared to other albums by the Pierre Moerlen-led lineup of Gong.[1]
