Velagapudi is a village in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Thullur mandal of Guntur revenue division.[2][3] The village is a part of Amaravati[4] and is also selected for building the new Secretariat of Andhra Pradesh.[5]
Demographics
As of 2011[update] Census of India, the town had a population of 2,688, of which males are 1,346, females are 1,342 –a sex ratio of 997 and the population under 6 years of age are 260. The average literacy rate stands at 62.81 percent, with 1,525 literates.[2]
Transport
Velagapudi is located on the Vijayawada and Amaravathi routes. APSRTC run buses provide transport services from Vijayawada to Velagapudi.
