Île Raphael is an island in the Cargados Carajos shoals (Saint Brandon), a group of outer islands of Mauritius. It is home to a privately owned fishing station, a coast guard and a meteorological station, which in total amount to about 40 residents, the majority of Saint Brandon's population.[1]
The island is the principal base for fishing activities in this area of the Indian Ocean.
