Abu Akash was an Al-Qaeda operative. He was believed to have been killed in a drone attack in Asori village in North Waziristan on October 31, 2008.[1] However, he managed to escape safely.[2] He was known by aliases Haji Akasha Khan, Abdur Rehman and Iraqi Malang. He was born in Iraq.[3] He came to notoriety in 2007 when he released a video calling for attacks on coalition forces.
