Addison Courtney Gumbert (October 10, 1867 or 1868 – April 23, 1925) was a pitcher for Major League Baseball in the 19th century. His brother Billy Gumbert and great nephew Harry Gumbert were also Major League Baseball players.

Early life

Addison Gumbert was born on October 10, 1867,[1] or 1868,[2][3] in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Robert and Henrietta Gumbert.[4] At the 1880 United States Census, Robert worked as a dispatcher,[5] while Henrietta was unemployed, with her occupation listed as a "keephouse".[6] The family lived on Frankstown Avenue in the 21st Ward of Pittsburgh.[5][6][7]
