Ashley Gunstock

Ashley Gunstock is a British actor, political activist, schoolteacher and FA Coach.
Career
Ashley is best known for playing the role of PC Robin Frank in the long running drama television series, The Bill, on ITV.[1]
He is a member of the Green Party of England and Wales and been an environmental activist since 1989. He has stood as the Green parliamentary election candidate for Finchley and Golders Green in 1997 and in Leyton and Wanstead in 2001, 2005, 2010 and 2015. He has also stood for the Greater London Authority in Havering and Redbridge, as well as for Redbridge Council in the ward of Wanstead, seeing the Green vote rise 50% in the area. He is a committee member of Fairtrade Redbridge with whom he influenced borough recycling and planning improvements and peace, anti-war and anti-fascist movements which seek his Green Party endorsement.
Before moving to Redbridge he lived in Barnet where he remains Chair of the Barnet Green Co-op Ltd, having been largely responsible for setting up The Green Room Environmental Centre and was also active on the Homeless Action in Barnet committee - which oversaw the building of a day centre for the homeless. He was the founder of the Campaign to Make Redbridge, Wanstead and Snaresbrook Zone 3 tube stations.[2]
Gunstock was a candidate in the Green Party of England and Wales leadership election, 2008. He lost to Caroline Lucas by 2,559 votes to 210.[3]
Personal life
Gunstock lives with his wife and 16-year-old son in Wanstead. He is a theatrical Producer, Artistic Director, English teacher and qualified Football Association Coach. He has recently been working for the Tower Hamlets Pupil Referral Unit.
