"Bang Bang" is a song performed by B. A. Robertson. Co-written by Robertson with Terry Britten and produced by Britten, it was released as the second single from his third album Initial Success in 1979.[1]

Lyrics

"Bang Bang" is a humorous commentary on the pitfalls of love. Its chorus:

"Bang, bang, the mighty fall
Bang, bang, when love has called"

It uses the examples of famous couples such as Romeo and Juliet, Samson and Delilah, and Mark Antony and Cleopatra. There is also a reference to John Fruin, who was head of Warner Music Group at the time.[2]

"Life was in a ruin
She loved Johnny Fruin
Fall in love and blew em away"

Charts

UK Singles Chart: 12 weeks, peaking at Number 2[3]
