Blackburn is a rapidly growing commuter town just northwest of Aberdeen, Scotland, and is situated in Aberdeenshire. It has an industrial estate. It has a small primary school, as well as a nursing home, local shop and a £1 million community hall which was publicly opened by The Princess Royal in 2005.[citation needed]
