Blue Eagles FC started in the Early 1980s. It is a POLICE team based at POLICE HEADQUARTERS Area 30 in Malawi's Capital of Lilongwe. The Team's Stadium is named after the Nankhaka River which flows in the nearby township of Chimoka. In the Mid 80s Blue Eagles FC landed a number of super talents in Charles Juma, a prolific midfielder with a power packed shot from SUCOMA FC, now ILLOVO FC (Juma is said to have burst the net once while playing for SUCOMA), Aubrey Khudzumba from MHC FC, Mazon Mazengelera, Grey Chimphepo and Petr Namate among other notable names. This recruitment paid dividends as Blue Eagle under the tutelage of Davie Mpesi who had dumped giants Civil Service United (CIVO) one of Lilongwe football giants within one week of joining Blue Eagles helped his new team beat his former employers 3-1 at their own back yard with Khudzumba, Mazengera and Juma on the score sheet.

This was the beginning of new things for the law enforcers as they went ahead to spot some of the country's great talent in Goal tender Navigator Dzinkambani who later joined Bullets FC and was a constant feature for the National Team in the years that followed. However in the mid 90s the team suffered loss of foam due to loss of players to other club and was relegated to Lilongwe and District Premier League in 1996/97 season. Many star players left the team as it went into the lower league however a few stars like Vincent Limbani remained at the club, helping them to come back in the Super League in 1999. With Inspector General of Police Chikapa in charge of the POLICE Service, nets were cast weder to recruit top talent with the promise of lucrative deals. In 2002 Blue Eagles recruited Schubert Kuwali as Head Coach from ESCOM United with De Klerk Sakakuwona as Assistant. Along with them came a number of some of the country's cream of football in Goalkeeper Simeon Kapuza, Striker Dick Malidadi among others.

Blue Eagles remains a force to reckon with and has been one of the top teams in Malawi's Super League.
