Boshe (Chinese: 博社) is a village[1] in Shanwei, eastern Guangdong Province, China. The village has been in existence from at least the 13th century.[2]

For years it had been an inexpugnable production centre for meth as well as ketamine. It was nicknamed "The Fortress" as a consequence. After years of patient infiltration the Beijing authorities finally raided it successfully in December 2013.[3]
