This category should include animals endemic to the Pacific Northwest of the North American continent. For animals endemic to the Northwestern United States, see Category:Fauna of the Northwestern United States. Along with the US states, animals in this category may be found throughout the provinces of Canada that are considered part of the Pacific Northwest. These include British Columbia and more broadly may include the Yukon. Though no agreed boundary exists, a common conception for the Pacific Northwest includes the U.S. states of Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Broader conceptions reach north into Alaska and Yukon, south into the coastal and mountainous regions of Northern California, and east into Idaho and Western Montana, western Wyoming, and western Alberta, to the Continental Divide.
