"Does He Love You" is a song written by Sandy Knox and Billy Stritch, and recorded as a duet by American country music artists Reba McEntire and Linda Davis. It was released in August 1993 as the first single from Reba's album Greatest Hits Volume Two. It is one of country music's several songs about a love triangle.

The Reba McEntire/Linda Davis version of this song was one of the most-awarded songs of McEntire's career. It was her 18th and Davis's only number 1 hit.

The single went on to win the Grammy award for Best Country Vocal Collaboration, a Country Music Association Award for Vocal Event of the Year, and a TNN/Music City News award for Best Vocal Collaboration.

Content

The song features a vocal battle between two female narrators who are in love with the same man. Both women know that the man is being unfaithful to them and are wondering who he truly loves.

Other versions

• Liza Minnelli covered McEntire's song as a duet with Donna Summer on Minnelli's Grammy-nominated 1996 album, Gently.
• Patti LaBelle covered the same song on her Grammy-nominated 1997 album Flame. On her version, the song's title was altered to "He Doesn't Love You". However, it still has the same melody and lyrics other than the lines where "does he love you?" is replaced by "he doesn't love you". The song was also included on her 1998 album Live! One Night Only.
• In 2002, after winning the very first American Idol title, Kelly Clarkson sang the song with Reba on a FOX Network special.
• Kelly Clarkson and Martina McBride also performed the duet as a tribute to McEntire on the television special CMT Giants Honor Reba McEntire in 2006.
