Evil Dead: The Game is a survival horror video game based on the Evil Dead franchise. It was developed and published by Saber Interactive. It features co-operative gameplay and player versus player (PvP) combat.[3][4] The game also features Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, as well as Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell[4] and Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar from the television series Ash vs Evil Dead.[5]
Evil Dead: The Game was released for Microsoft Windows via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on May 13, 2022. It will be released for Nintendo Switch at a later date.[2][3][4][6]
Gameplay
Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical multiplayer game. The game features both co-operative gameplay and player versus player (PvP) combat, although the single-player mode requires an internet connection to be played.[3][4][7] The game features a level-up system, as well as skill tree mechanics.[8] It will also feature multiple maps, including the cabin in the woods from the Evil Dead film series, along with over 25 weapons, including Ash's chainsaw and boomstick.[9] At launch, the game features 4 playable survivor classes (Leaders, Warriors, Hunters and Supports), and 3 playable demons (the Warlord, the Puppeteer, and the Necromancer).[10][11]
Marketing
Evil Dead: The Game was announced at The Game Awards on December 10, 2020.[9] Official reveal trailers for the game were uploaded to YouTube that same day.[12][13]
