Sør-Trøndelag District Court

Sør-Trøndelag District Court (Norwegian: Sør-Trøndelag tingrett) is the district court serving all municipalities in Sør-Trøndelag, except for Hitra, Frøya and the municipalities of Fosen.
It was created in 2003 when Gauldal District Court, Orkdal District Court and Midt-Trøndelag District Court were merged.[citation needed] On 1 January 2010 it absorbed Trondheim District Court too. Headquarters are in Trondheim.[1]
