Hakea prostrata (Harsh Hakea) is a species of shrub that is native to the south-west of Western Australia.[2] Plants grow to between 1 and 3 metres in height and have leaves with prickly edges.[1] White or cream flowers are produced in axillary racemose inflorescences between July and October in its native range.

The species was first formally described by botanist Robert Brown in Transactions of the Linnean Society of London in 1810.[1]
